Get Your Twisted Drawn: Ideas and Creation

Instructed by Spyder Yardley-Jones • Ages 15 and up • 6 Mondays • November 8th - December 13th • 6:30 - 8:30 PM • Cost: $125 (all supplies included)

This is a class for those who don't belong in "the box", for those whose images are too weird, dark or surreal. Spyder will show you how to express your inner weirdness while teaching students how to refine and tweak their illustration skills. Students will use a variety of illustration mediums: pencil, pen & ink, coloured pencil, watercolour, or collage- whatever it takes to get those visions out onto paper.

Oil Painting for Beginners*

Instructed by Neil McClelland (2009/2010 Artist in Residence) • 6 Tuesdays • October 19th - November 23rd • 6-9 PM • Cost: $155 ($140 for members) • Supplies not included

This class will create several small works using non-toxic, solvent-free oil painting techniques. Using a painterly approach, students will hone observation skills through still life painting.
*Check back for intermediate oil painting with Neil McClelland winter 2011
