Angeliqua Mundell

Angeliqua intends her art to communicate her love for the environment and her struggle for the restoration of her well-being. She desires to represent a Canadian perspective through an imaginative use of colour harmonies. She focuses on her creative expression as an instrument of regeneration and personal growth. Her perception of Mother Earth communicates euphoria through the vibrancy of watercolour.

Angeliqua belongs to an art group called ‘Out of the Shadows’ and also paints with the Edmonton Senior Art Group. She also teaches workshops at CMHA. Her painting ‘Night Shadows’ is exhibited at the Art Gallery of Alberta in March 07.

Angeliqua spent her childhood years traveling around Canada’s national parks and the beauty of nature continues to make her spirit rejoice through her use of watercolour.

Her technique has been influenced by artists such as Jerry Heine and Francis Alty-Arscott. She strives for a colourful representation of her impressions of the natural environment. Her recent work is based on travel experiences through Alberta and British Columbia and she likes to spend time traveling and painting with her artist friends in the Alberta mountains.
