Every Dog Has Its Day Cooper examines the role that dogs play in small, day to day events to reveal how we construct our landscape and how our landscape affects the way we live. The sculpted bronze animals Cooper creates are often weighed down by some sort of burden, whether it is a heavy glass helmet bolted around the neck or a rocket tied to their back. Through the emotions of the animal, Cooper aims to tap into a collective conscience that is continually in the process of coping and accommodating. |
