Miklos Legrady The Effect of Gamma Rays on the Man-in-the-Moon Marigold "Oh, God, what have I seen? Where have I been? Something has spoken to the very soul of me, wonderful, mighty, not of this world. Chords way down in my being have been touched. Dumb notes have struck chords of wonderful tone. Something has called out of somewhere. Something in me is trying to answer." Title taken from a 1972 film directed by Paul Newman Consists of mural sized, digital prints and wall projections. Inspired by questions from the film's underlying theme concerning biological changes caused by radiation, Legrady documents perceptual and conceptual changes caused by the spectrum of visible light. Mass media - private daydreams, - turmoil and ecological terror, - snippets of art history, sociology and science. |
Exhibition runs from March 25 to April 24 |
